Buzzword Bingo at Gamesville

Topic: Bingo Life

The team here at Gamesville HQ is a tad obsessed with games. So much so that we've reached the point where we've started playing games while creating new games for you to play! Recently we've created a little game of Buzzword Bingo to play along with during the work day. The rules are simple: whenever someone casually mentions a phrase from your Bingo Buzzword card over the course of the day you daub the box containing the phrase. You win by completing a row on the card and of course yelling "Bingo!" Here is one of our custom cards:

By visiting the Super Bingo Card Creator you can join in on the fun too and start your own game of buzzword bingo. Play your own version of office bingo by loading in your own phrases into the 5 x 5 grid, or choose one of the prepackaged word lists. It's just what our team needed to start a productive 2009!

Undercover Bingo?

Topic: Bingo Life

Ever wonder what it would be like to be a Bingo detective? A super bingo sleuth perhaps? If you've a keen eye and the passion for bingo then the state of South Carolina has a job offer for you!

The state is currently recruiting players to take part in bingo inspections by acting as undercover bingo players. Folks are being asked to go undercover as players to reside in games and help ensure all bingo games are in compliance with state regulations. For any Gamesvillers who reside in South Carolina this may be another opportunity to get paid to play:

But of course, you don't need to be employed the state of South Carolina (or any other state for that matter) to enjoy the multiple varieties of bingo offering REAL CASH for FREE here on Gamesville!

Economy got you down? Turn to Free Online Bingo at Gamesville!

Topic: Bingo Life
Sad Guys on Trading FloorsWith the current economic downturn in the US, many are looking for different and inexpensive ways to stay entertained. Bingo players are feeling the pinch like everyone else, but our members are keen to the fact that they have a chance to turn a pretty sweet profit by spending time here at Gamesville to win real cash prizes--for free.

From an economic standpoint, our free online bingo does not have nearly the overhead of a traditional bingo hall so we can afford to pay out lots of small prizes to lots of poeple. And given the nature of our games, every player has a chance to win.

So in tough times, it may be best to turn to an old favorite online--be it Bingo Zone, or Three-Eyed Bingo, Gamesville has you covered.

How has the economic downturn effected your entertainment spending? Does talk of a recession affect your gameplay? We'd love to hear your comments.

Bingo Daubers

Topic: Bingo Life

Bingo daubers. What are they? Where do they come from?

If you're an online bingo player only (and who would blame you?), you may not be familiar with bingo daubers.

Basically, the dauber is used to mark the numbers on your bingo cards. Prior to the inclusion of daubers as a marking system for bingo, plastic chips were used to mark numbers for bingo cards.

When daubers hit the scene in 1989, they became a very popular choice for players because daubers stamp or paint the number called, where as chips present the risk of being moved or misplaced on the bingo sheet. Daubers come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes and can be special ordered and customized to a player's liking.

Serious bingo players consider all aspects of a dauber to help their game play.

TIP: The ideal dauber must fit snug in the players hand to ensure speed and dispense the correct amount of ink on every daub to create a clean look to the card. But of utmost importance is that a dauber must also display a color that matches a player's mood and personality. After all, it's said that the right dauber can deliver the right amount of luck!

In our very own Bingo Zone players can customize their dauber to sleect what color they'd like to daub bingo cards. Which color do you use? Is it a reflection of your personality?

Was Bingo Really His Name-o?

Topic: Bingo Life

Everyone knows the song Bingo:

There was a farmer, had a dog, and Bingo was his name-O!
B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O, and Bingo was his name-O!
Most people assume that Bingo is the name of the dog. But, if you pay careful attention to the lyrics, you'll see that Bingo could be the name of dog OR the farmer!
