Meet the Slinkmeister.

Topic: Members

In our series of running classic and follow up interviews with longtime Gamesville members, today we present a 2000 interview with Mark Resler of Muncie, Indiana, who never goes anywhere without his slinky.

Tomorrow: We'll see what's new with Mark since we last spoke with him...

GV: What inspired your username, "Slinkmeister"?
MR: I do special tricks with a slinky. I carry it everywhere I go and friends ask me where it is if I'm not holding it.

How long have you been playing with a slinky?
I've had it for three years. I bought it at a flee market.

What do you do for work?
I sell electronics for Home Theater Audio Video.

What do you like best about it?
I get really excited when new gadgets and products come on the market. I love talking to people about new features.

Do you play with the slinky at work?
Yes, but I have to put it away during business meetings. I have to be professional and I don't want to distract clients with it.

Describe your special slinky trick.
I call it the Flurry. I hold one end in my fist with my pinky finger griping the base. I bring my arm straight up then flip it over and release my pinky finger and the slinky comes back again.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Tokyo because it's the electronics capital of the world.

What's your favorite sound?
My wife's singing voice and the rain.

Name your favorite movie.
The Matrix.

What's your favorite Gamesville game?
I like CatchUp CoverAll.

"Catch Up Coverall" -- I nearly forgot about that one.  That's another game to think about bringing back.  lol
