I used to like slots. But not here in Gamesville. The only slots are the Pit Stop Slots. A boring game that tries to force you to sit in front of a billboard of advertisements with regular monotony - what we in England call "The American Way" (That's because of the BBC TV service that never has advertising on its channels - you pay a small license fee instead).
Gamesville tell us that its the ads that pay for the site but I know many people who would play elsewhere because the advertising is not so intense. What are we? Monkeys? Do we get our peanuts if we stare at billboards with monotonous regularity? I suppose you could say that I'm just miffed at the idea of being "punished" so often and in so many ways. I won a score of some 58,000 points by playing PSS but realised that my score is wiped if I leave the arena for more than 2 hours at any time. Is that fair? Given that the card games I play at Gamesville add or subtract an ongoing score (in the form of ratings and points)and some folks have accumulated a score of MILLIONS !!!
I don't want to play PSS anymore. The Ads have driven me away. Cut it down Gamesville. Be Reasonable! One of the main enjoyment factors at these sites is, for many people who visit - including me, the opportunity to commune with folks from all over America and the world but incessant advertising is giving America a bad label of pure commercialism. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. Many of my American cousins feel as I do and think that the ads are TOO MUCH and should be reduced somewhat. Pit Stop Slots would not be boring if the advertising was reduced to a reasonable level.
Don't tell me it's the ads that pay for the slots either. I've been hearing that old chestnut for too long. People "switch off" to the ads when they are so profuse; they make coffee, use the bathroom, take out a mortgage, build an extension, bathe the dog.....Anything to avoid staring at the monotony of the incessant ads. Try asking anyone on Gamesville what was the last ad they saw all about. You'll be lucky if they know!
Also, while I'm on my soapbox, get the chatbox on Euchre sorted out! You guys put a man on the moon for Petes' sake. People think others rude on that site as so often one can't read the last chat entry 'till it's yesterdays news. Most annoying and disconcerting. Yes..disconcerting. A good game of cards with good people and players is like a concert. Things flow. Friends for life are made. But iffy technology kills everything...Just like over-advertising.
yours etc.
robertpmc. pis toff slot player.
p.s. Ever seen "A Clockwork Orange"? The protagonist was made to sit in front of a screen with his eyes held open whilst things he didn't want to see were shown. Beethovens 9th symphony was played throughout. I can' t hear the 9th without thinking of Gamesville!!!
Please GET IT SORTED
