Let me add my complaints to this technical problem. I am not able to get connected today (10/7). This is my favorite site for "hearts", BUT....it is also riddled with problems. As a rule it takes forever to get connected.

Then, it takes WAY too long to get connected to an individual table. The players have to sit and wait while you're twiddling your thumbs, wondering IF you'll ever get connected.

Trying to "chat" at a table is also a problem. You'll constantly be clicked off, so if you want to say something at the table- be prepared to always be clicking on the chat line so you can finish a word!!!

 Then there are the increasing number of downright mean players.  If you give them the Queen of Spades- WOW- be prepared for a barrage of curse words. Sophie loves to harrass people, nwtcanuck is mean and nasty, daakink is hatefu, gwkim accuses everyone of cheatingl.........what's with these people? It's only a game!!!!!!!!!!!! Sheesh.

However....there are some terrific people playing there and they make it very worthwhile.

I hope you get these problems fixed and in a timely manner. It seems we all are addicted. LOL

actually this has been going on with Spite & Malice since yesterday starting around 10:30 am est - that's when the rooms started booting ev1 out and then disappearing off the available rooms list on the main GV page. I really wish there was a way to get in touch with someone from GV as soon as something like this starts happening and not have to wait for a blog to appear.

I too have been having tech difficulties getting connected and still am at 1:13 pm central time oct. 7th 2007 , thanks to the blog area I found it was not my comp , but I would like to take this opportunity to ask pretty please to either do away with the rated bot ( only give you 4 points anyway when you win ) or create rooms for rated bot's , rooms that you do not have to use anyone else to start a rated game with the bot , I know you can start an unrated game with bot by self . So many people complain that they can't play and since it seems to me that 50 % want a person and 50 % want the bot so the obvious solution would be to create a room for this , or just do away with the bot all together . I personally like to play both , I am very glad the timer is there as people do just sit there also can you please create a boot button should they just sit there . The boot button should be used by the person who created the table . Sorry if I posted this in wrong area . Thanks again for this blog area and the opportunity to post our thoughts and complaints .

Now that the technical problems have been resolved for many, I'm still having a problem. I can get to the games, but there is no sound. I have sound for the ads, so I know the problem is not with my computer, but when the game comes up there is no sound. I havr re-downloaded JAVA, I am at a lose. Any suggestions?

When are you going to do something about those ads that freeze up our computers?  It is soooo frustrating and annoying.  I don't remember having this happen as frequently as it does lately.  Plus my pop up zapper has been working over time on this site .  Hope this goes away soon, not much fun playing when your computer freezes up!

After reading all the post here I realize many people are having the same problems I was having.

I have Windows Vista OS and installed three differant browsers to find the problems.  One thing for sure is to make sure you have all the latest updates for Quicktime, Adobe Flash Player, Java, and any other programs that integrate with your browser. Check your cookie settings as well. This site is very dependent on cookie settings. 

The main thing was my script settings.  Some antivirus software blocks scripts from downloading to your computer.  Which is good in most cases.  To enable popup windows is another security risk as well.  Plus the fact that they are just annoying.  After disabling several security features I got all three browsers to operate perfectly with my updates and a few tweeks here and there.  But cetainly increased my chances of getting worms, trojans, and viruses.  NOT good.

The thing is:  I'd rather protect my system than disable important settings that protect my computer.  I browse other sites while playing games online and that is just to risky.  Not to mentions some people are using computers in thier business.

 This site needs to consider security issues and make those adjustments that will not only allow members to play without boots, errors, etc. but feel comfortable in doing so.

Just my two cents worth.

What is happening with gamesville ? I have pretty much tried all day long to play games on here , for a while it has let me play magic 21 , but everytime I tried to get into spite and malice the window would load then either freeze or say page not displayed , I asked several other gamesvillers and they said they are having the same problem . Seems no one from gamesville seems to respond quickly or even let us know there is a problem . This is getting to be very depressing , I know it is not my comp because I can go anywhere else on the net and not have any problems untill I come to gamesville , it is even slow just to pull up the page for gamesville . Hurry please and resolve this .
